At the time of the press release, which was made on the Facebook page of RED Talent Management on Jan 27 and independently confirmed by Equestria Daily, the family was unaware of what Michael’s health-state would be like, should he recover.

The family is accepting donations directly to this PayPal account: csuttle3@gmail.com (also verified as legitimate by Equestria Daily).

A third-party fund-raiser on GoFundMe.com labeled as “Michael Morones Recovery Fund” has raised over $11,000 out of a $20,000 goal at the time of publication. This fundraiser is operated by Eileen Montgomery, who has spoken with the family personally. Her fundraiser appears here.

An eBay charity auction created by username Glowingwolf has also been published for a 16.5-inch MLP Darling Do Plush. That auction can be found here. That auction is set to expire on Feb 1, 11:34 AM PST. At the time of publication, the charity auction highest bidder was at $76.00 USD.

EDITORIAL NOTE:::

The Furry Post wishes a swift recovery to Michael Morones and strength to his family as they guide him through this trying and heartbreaking ordeal.

    • If you have evidence to support that, I’d appreciate seeing it. As of now, other sources have confirmed by speaking to the family. I have received no other notice of this claim.

  2. There has been no major independent news coverage of this story and if they wanted it to go “viral”, why have they not plastered it on ABC News or Fox?

The glaring lack of names is also raising alarm. What hospital? How about a police report; it was an attempted suicide, afterall.

    • There are 11.5 youth suicides every day. A child takes his life every 2.5 hours in the U.S. For every one that does, 100-200 attempts are made. That’s a child suicide attempt every minute. Why do you think the mainstream media doesn’t cover them all?

    • if it is or not the point is still there this happens to often do to social pressure, so how about your anti gay, anti what ever the fuck you are, just piss off k if this boy is real how would you feel if his parents read that, huh think about that ass hole.

  3. Hi,

As a member of the family involved, I can indeed verify that all facts reported are true and very accurate. We have been reaching out to the media and actually landed our first interview this evening. 🙂

As for the name if the hospital, O’m sorry, but there are privacy boundaries which ask be respected.

Michael is an incredibly bright, talented, too-smart-for-his-own-good kid. He’s one of the best kids I know, and my GOD, the kid loves Pinkie Pie and being a Brony.

His mother is operating a Facebook page in his name, if you would like to send a friend request. Heck, if you send me a private message, I’ll send a friend request to my own page and you can check out the updates and photos. Please believe this is absolutely not a hoax. Michael is a real flesh and blood kid with a real life and real emotions who was tormented by bullies over a TV Show. I love Michael dearly, and his story is being shared. It is gaining more attention each day that passes.

It was one week ago today that Michael attempted to take his life. He has been in a coma since then, but every day we have seen small improvements. Baby steps towards healing, and after his MRI tomorrow, we will have a better idea of the extent his brain was damaged. (The MRI had to be postponed a couple if days – Michael has braces and a plate in his mouth, and we had to wait for his orthodontist to be able to remove them because they interfered with the MRI. Raleigh was hit with a moderate snowfall that prevented his doctor from arriving sooner).

Even if we prevent only one person from committing suicide by sharing Michael’s story, it is worthwhile.

The outpouring of love, support, encouragement and prayers from the MLP community has been amazing. We are so grateful for all your love and compassion.

So please…this is not a hoax. I am absolutely serious. Send me a message and I will friend you on my FaceBook page.

    Pinkie Pie Promise.
